Here I have a set of 12 semi-postal issues from 1939 intended to commemorate the Reich's postal employees as well as Adolf Hitler's culture funds. It is worth noting that this set of stamps were the first issued after the outbreak of WWII, thanks of course to Germany invading Poland. All 12 stamps depict various different events related to the Reich's postal service as well as some other subject matter. I will run through every issue in the set and list it's features in the usual fashion. This set features some of my favourite art work of all Third Reich issues and that would make sense seeing as they were all illustrated by the married team of illustrators Werner von Axster-Heudtlass and Maria von Axster-Heudtlass.
