Here is a set of two stamps that were issued to commemorate the passing of five years since Adolf Hitler took leadership of Germany by becoming chancellor under Hindenburg. They both depict a physically fit man of Aryan appearance holding up a torch and a bundle of what I believe are flowers. Obviously there is a horse drawn carriage in the background and in the bottom corner the date of Adolf Hitler's appointment as chancellor. The lower value stamp is a blackish opal green colour and has a value of 6 + 4 Pfennig while the more valuable example has a blackish pink red colour and a face value of 12 + 8 Pfennig. They are catalogue code Michel 660 - 661.
Here are a set of four stamps issued to commemorate the German Gymnastic and Sports Festival. They depict various different buildings or architecture and all bear the words; 'Breslau 1938. Deutsches Turn-u Sportfest'. Which in English is of course 'Breslau 1938 German Gymnastics and Sports Festival'. Beside that is a swastika adorned German eagle. They are catalogue code Michel 665 - 668.
